Quick grab your camera!

Unfortunately, I was too slow, so I don't have pictures of what I just saw...only my words...

Right outside our balcony, a MAMA's walking her dog...and three year old daughter.  The dog starts to shit...and guess what?

Her daughter wants to pick it up.  She tugs on the plastic bag in her mom's hands.  Fortunately, mom's a cool mom and obliges.

Mom spends the next few minutes positioning the sack in her daughters hands to carefully pick up the shit.  Next, the little one bends over cautiously and, like she's seen her mom do a hundred times, carefully covers the shit with the plastic bag.  She even rolls it up.

Mom then takes it and ties the bag in a knot.  She hands it to her daughter whose waiting for it.

Mom, daughter, and dog take off walking again...

And daughter, shit in hand, couldn't be happier...

Life really is that simple.

I want to give this MAMA a big hug.

Christy, a relationship counselor, on Parenting:

"Parenting is like being a salesman.  Seriously, it is, which is what I do at my job, so I'm good at it.  They're watching TV, playing video games, or fighting over the wii and you have to come out all excited and be like "Let's go to bed!"...Or their eating, Popsicle all over their mouth, and you have to be like "Let's brush your teeth!" ...It's hard.  They're smart.  So you have to be really persistent.  You have to be smarter."

What tricks do YOU use?
